Now, let’s meet the family. If you’re here you probably already know us, but just in case, let us introduce ourselves.
Hi, I’m Papa. Keeping this blog is one of my hobbies. It allows me to combine my interests in photography, video editing, and staying in touch with family and friends from around the world all in one place. I’ve been an English teacher since 1993 and currently teach full-time at Toyo Gakuen University (near Tokyo) and part-time at Chukyo University in Nagoya.
This is my wife, Shinobu. She was born and raised in Toyama Prefecture. She has been an athlete her entire life, first as a swimmer, then as a ski instructor, aerobics teacher, & fitness coach. She currently manages a pool in our hometown and does a lot of swim coaching, too. She is exceptionally good at organizing things and people, anything from a suitcase to a swimming meet.
This is our son, Luke. He was born on July 29th, 2001. As of right now (Dec 2011), he is ten and in the 4th grade. He loves sports, especially swimming, soccer, track & field, and snowboarding. He also loves playing computer games on his various machines. He’s got a Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and an iPad. But he’s very good about doing his homework first! We’re asking a lot of our son, and he always comes through.
This is our daughter, Max. She was born on March 7th, 2007. She’s currently four years old and goes to kindergarten. She loves studying, drawing, and writing thank-you notes. She has a huge stationary collection already! She also loves to collect school supplies such as cute pencils, pens, and erasers. Max is the most flexible among us. She can bridge-walk across the room! It’s amazing… :-)
